Oral Exam Prep Session

From now on I’m scheduled for one lesson a week. I have 8 hours of oral exam prep to complete and three moc check rides with the schools chief CFI (certified flight instructor) and flight school owner.

Short Field Practice

Just before I soloed for the first time my instructor introduced me to short field techniques ┬ábut I hadn’t had much time to practice. After soloing several times to practice maneuvers and flying 3 solo cross country flights, it was time to develop some proficiency at short fields.

Chart Pens

I tried a variety of expensive specialized chart pens and highlighters; however, these PILOT FAIXION Erasable pens beat them all. My 12 yr old uses them at school and said I should try them!

1st Solo Cross Country

This was my first solo cross country XC flight. I flew from Westminster, Carroll County Regional Airport (KDMW) to Chester County Regional (KMQS) via Lake Marburg, Lake Redman, Lancaster (Smoketown Airport S37).

I bought a GoPro Hero3 Black as new in the box from a friend, a GoPro Session with suction mount, a multi purpose external battery, and the Nflightcam Elite Aviator kit which includes mounts, case, and audio patch/charging cable for the Hero3.
