One important facet of ABTCR is the volunteers who foster hounds while they receive medical care, are evaluated, and trained with the goal of them being adopted into their forever home.
On a Saturday afternoon Laura and I responded to ABTCR’s request for a foster to pick up an ABTCR hound that had been dumped at a shelter in Baltimore county. This poor hound had been adopted from ABTCR several years ago, and contrary to the contact the adopters signed, he was dumped at a shelter when he should have been surrendered to ABTCR. This poor boy is a big cuddle bear gentle to his very soul.
